Once upon a time, in a land of endless video meetings and long commutes, our founder had a eureka moment. He realized that relying solely on a paycheck was as reliable as a squirrel trying to navigate a unicycle. (Spoiler alert: it's not very reliable.)

This guy, let's call him The Bibster, had seen the aftermath of massive layoffs at his corporate job and decided he needed to have a little more control over his destiny, especially because he couldn't bear the thought of letting down his two adorable little children. And he also had another passion burning inside him.

The Bibster had always been a lover of well-crafted and beautifully designed athleisure apparel. He believed that comfort and style could coexist, like peanut butter and jelly or socks and sandals (yes, we went there). So, he decided to combine his entrepreneurial spirit with his love for fashion and create something truly special.

And thus, Backpack Owl was born in 2023 in the vibrant city of Barrie. Why Backpack Owl, you ask? To us, the backpack symbolizes motion - being on the move. Adventuring. Exploring. Learning. Evolving. The owl embodies the wisdom required to know that there's a great big world out there, full of opportunity. That, or the fact that The Bibster's eldest child had a stuffed owl toy that she wouldn't go to sleep without.

Our little online store quickly spread through word-of-mouth from supportive family and friends, to become a haven for those seeking comfortable and stylish clothing items. We offer a variety of goodies, from crewneck sweatshirts that feel like a warm hug from grandma to pullover hoodies that make you look effortlessly cool. And don’t sleep on our summer drip too!
